Why “Shewantah” for the name of the website?
Shewantah came to Bob in a dream. It sounds like a word that could be from a Native American language. No research has been done to verify this. Bob saw a possible meaning when Shewantah is split up into three words: She, Want and Ah. The "She" represents all the she's and he's on the earth. "Want" represents a person's desires. "Ah" could have a few meanings. The pleasurable feeling experienced when a person expresses "Ah". Having an "A ha" moment where some new idea is recognized when not previously perceived in a similar experience. "Ah" can also represent God. The "ah" sound is part of the sound when the name of God is spoken in numerous religions: Yahweh, God, Krishna, etc. So Shewantah could be interpreted as women and men wanting to experience, in a new way, a more complete connection with God.
Bob almost released the “Remember The Fall” CD under the name, Shewantah, but at the last minutes was guided to just use his own name. Shewantah was part of the name that Bob used for his massage business in the Berkshires.
